To be a respectful citizen and be productive in life one needs to
be involved not only in Academics but also in Cultural Activities
in the College and the outside arena. At STAS Kottayam we have a
set of clubs and associations to find the hidden talents of our students and give them encouragements to excel.
The Clubs and Associations at STAS Kottayam are:
Nature Club
The college has an active nature club which deals with the
beautification of the college and its surroundings. The activities
of the nature club mainly include gardening and planting of trees
and plants. The nature club provides the students with a calm and
healthy mind and body by by bringing them close to nature.
Sports Club
As a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. The college provides
its students all facilities to make them excel both in
academics and sports. The college has an organized teams for the
cricket, football, hand ball etc .
The
college has a very strong cricket team who conduct regular
training at the college premises. The college provides all the
necessary equipments and there are regular friendship
matches between the various clubs.
The College team has performed jubilantly in
several of Intercollegiate matches and the University Youth
Festivals.
Department Associations
In addition to the above clubs the students are
members of the the respective department associations, which are
formed to focus the student community to there future careers by
conducting seminars, fests and paper presentations, talks
focusing on the emerging technologies in the respective fields.
The Department Associations conduct National
Level Seminars and Fest regularly which are attended by students
and teaching faculty from all over the country.
