The Electronics association of
Mahatma
Gandhi University
School
of Technology and Applied Sciences, Kottayam
Exploring the technology with a difference. Inspiring
intellectual minds. Moulding the career at time.
Aim
The overall aim of
this association is to
grasp the technology from a new dimension,
enhancing the knowledge and skills by participating students in
the areas of modern technological trends and
to contribute
something new to build a value oriented technological world.
Electronics is an exciting field that is experiencing amazing
growth. According to Moor?s law the circuit complexity doubles
every 18 months. There is no way to cop up with this fastest
growing field but the student has to run with their full effort to
extract innovative higher extremes.
Beginning
As a great
effort, the electronics students of STAS formed the electronics
association in the year 2003. It is the first association in the
Mahatma Gandhi University for students to develop their talents
and abilities and to bring out the hidden treasures in their
technical mind to contribute the best to the fast developing
electronics technology.
Electra bears its role as a place where the students can share and
develop their ideas and to make each student get in touch with
various technological fields through technical talks by experts,
conducting workshops, symposiums, etc.
For group
participation each student was given an opportunity to suggest a
suitable name for this association and the name Electra were
selected.

Being a
vast field in science and technology, Electra?s dream is to
provide the vigorous, enthusiastic ?junior technocrats? to explore
the technology in a new way of thinking.
Electra
will always be faithful in its vision statements:
Exploring the technology with a difference
